Now you’re wondering what are some great dips to put into those cute sauce bowls. This is where our awesome Trini Guacamole Avocado Dip come in. Here is a pretty easy recipe for one of the most loved accompaniments to nachos or any kind of chip, roti, bread -hey we even recommend it on salad. Whats more awesome is, right now avocados are in season so your main ingredient is in no short supply.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 large ripe avocado (we recommend Pollock but any variety is fine)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1 leaf bandania (shadow beni, culantro), chopped finely
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 bird peppers (more or less according to taste)
- 1 dash black pepper
METHOD
- Cut avocado in halves. Remove and discard peel and seeds.
- Place avocado into a bowl and mash with a fork until the consistency is smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Serve.
You can refrigerate but this dip is best served fresh. Serve wit chips, roti, bread, crackers or salad.
