We know you loved our recipe for Avocado dipping sauce. Now you’re probably thinking you’ll need two more dipping sauces for your Gibson Gracious Dining 5 piece Chip and Dip set. Well we’ve got a treat for you. We’ll give you one here and one in our next post. What you’ll love about this sauce is that it’s simple, made from ingredients you already have at home AND has a rich exotic taste. Although peanut sauces are popular in West African and East Asian cuisine they’re not very well known here so that gives you the perfect opportunity to impress. As with the Avocado dip, this goes well with, nachos, chips, salad etc.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy is up to you)
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (lemon juice or vinegar will work too)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • red pepper flakes (according to taste)
  • 1 dash black pepper

METHOD

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Add more water by the spoonful if needed to get to the consistency you prefer.
  2. Serve in your Gibson Gracious Dining 5 piece Chip and Dip set. (Yes it’s that easy)

Tip: For a more West African flavour, use 1 tablespoon of Tomato Paste instead of lime juice.
